Walts Nephew | Disneyland Railroad Excursion 3 Train @WaltsNephew | Uploaded June 2021 | Updated October 2024, 3 hours ago.
Here is the train set added in 1958 just before the unveiling of the Grand Canyon Diorama and the new engine Fred Gurley: the Excursion Event passenger train. Designed by Bob Gurr and based upon the Narragansett style of passenger cars from Hawaii. What is now the only front-facing train on the Disneyland Railroad today, the Excursion train offers unique experiences by having Conductors stand on their own little platform behind the cars and allow for easy loading of guests/passengers with their own rows (but be prepared to share seats during the busy times of the day). Since the train was put into service at a time when the Park was undergoing a unique change to the future, I decided to utilize "Nation on Wheels," the second version, by George Bruns to accompany the compilation. Hope you enjoy!
