This is my oldest track in the Phase 1 release. It was written in July 2019, when only a rough version of the map's opening area had been made, but even its sketchy form, the map already set enough of a tone which, with Bridgeburner's input on what he wanted out of the track, made it quite easy to get the sound right. I guess it's the most ambient/soundscape-y track in the mod, sounds of faint electrical humming and flowing lava underpinning the clanging metal and sparse orchestra, meant to evoke the industrialised hellscape that the Realm of Fire became.
At a couple of points throughout the track, you can hear the so-called 'Fire motif,' mostly played by the clarinet and backed up in the strings the second time it comes around. This little melody was first written by Primeval for his track on F4, and since he had reused it in the Fire Boss track, I thought it'd be neat to establish it as a recurring theme throughout the episode, even if its quite subtle. One of the last tracks to be written for Phase 1 was Speedy's F3 track, which also features a variation on the motif as its main melody.
