Please watch in HD!

Mate I had to render this at least like 9 times so by this point I'm tired of this project sjsjjsjsjsjs
But anyways!
I began this project, I believe last week? I recently got into the Devil May Cry series and started playing the first game, and I feel like it's a lot of fun :3 I'm also super hyped about whenever I could buy Devil May Cry 5 ^^ However, when it came to editing - for the longest time I was in a state of not having enough inspiration to edit DMC projects. Sure, I could enough inspiration to START a project and put down the audio and maybe some clips but it didn't go much beyond that. So then I was just sitting there with four Devil May Cry projects and an immovable sense of wanting and not wanting to work on them at the same time. For this project in particular, I wasn't really feeling it and I kind of doubted I would even finish it. Buuut to my surprise I was able make it until the state of setting all of the clips.
After that, editing began feeling a bit easier again, but I still wasn't completely confident in what I was making. I couldn't understand if what I was making was ugly or not.
I had set some clips first and then made a coloring - which I made by tweaking another coloring that I had made for a completely different edit, and plus added in some other plugins that I thought could represent the sound of the song for me.
After that the edit just kinda stayed like that for a while. I ended up placing down all of the clips eventually and then, surprisingly enough, I was able to make all of the effects here in one day. The next day, all I had to do was add an outro and render, but OH bOy that went TERRIBLY. So I was able to add the outro fine and double checking for any things that I would like to fix went fine too, but, I encountered quite a few problems when I tried to render. For about 4 times, the render always crashed at around the 370 or so mark, and it gave me an error showing ''memory (x) referenced memory at (x). Memory could not be written'' or something along those lines. And after I got these, AE didn't let me maximize its window, and after AE exited out of itself, something out of place or strange happened to my laptop that shouldn't have happened the way it did. But okay my fave was def the moment when Steam opened for a literal second and showed nothing but the text ''oops'' and then closed lmao
After that I kind of deduced that AE wants to be the center of attention and wants me to keep its window open, and that I should also close my browser and eventually all of my other running programs. Had to reserve to just sitting on my phone then. I did make it past the 400 frame mark, and then it rendered for about an hour and a half before making a sheep sound and then showing me that it failed to render. I literally don't remember how many times something like this had to repeat but it was a mix of the 370 frame crash again and this same problem once again at least. I nearly made it to the very end of the video, just two clips before the outro, before it did the sheep sound again and showed me the most BIZZARE error I had seen that day, and I had absolutely no idea how to fix it. Basically it couldn't find like a cache file or smth, I don't know. I was irritated by then and I was feeling done with AE's shit by that point. But I still decided to try to render one more time and limit what I did on my laptop and check on the project's progress every now and then. Finally, after a little over 2 hours I think, the video finished rendering, at the expense of my internet going to shit and automatically dropping a skype call I was on with my best friend.
After it finished rendering, I was sick of the project to the point where I didn't want to bother doing any changes and just pushed it to the side. This video has actually been in my drafts now for 4 days bc I still wasn't feeling confident in this project and I didn't know if it was even worth uploading bc it feels so messy to me. However, after showing this to my girlfriend and hearing that she really likes it, I tried to at least have some confidence in this ^^''
All and all, despite all the difficulties with rendering, it was fun to at least try out some new plugins in this edit, and I feel like I've really come to like AE pixel sorter and Glitchify now ^^
Speaking of which! I was thinking of switching to AE CC 2019, but after opening it I realized that I'd have to move over some of my plugins, and there was also this brief video glitch in a project where it shouldn't have been, so I will leave this all to another time ^^''
Could potentially give AE a break for a while and go back to Vegas for now but we'll see XD''
And my thoughts on this project now are...Well, it's something, I suppose ^^

I hope that you all enjoy this edit and that you all have a very good day/night :3
