Below is another description i wrote some months back, i wrote it on the same night i finished this edit ^^ (In fact i am STILL not sick of this song- XD) (I also realized that i misspelled something in the intro, but oh well ^^''):
So this one was an interesting one :o
this is was my favorite song for a few days and i just couldn't stop listening to it! I imagined the lyrics in an abstract way, and every time i listened to it, i got these interesting ideas of like a character/person who is both a vampire and an assassin. But coming back to the editing process - I got to ep 20 of JJK, dubbed, and it was so good :o I was yelling over Gojo at points XD And! After watching this ep and listening to this song again, i started getting visions of an edit! And so, i started this edit which i intended to be a quick, messy, and spontaneous edit. i originally wasn't intending on having much of a vibe or theme to this edit, but as i was editing, i realized that i was actually creating something of a scary vibe for this edit :o so maybe Halloween vibes here owo'' The vibe of this video in general is different from what i usually make, i feel owo''
I used AE for the most part here and then did two clips in vegas, and then finished the edit in Vegas. For this one, i went with my instincts. the very first thing i thought of, or saw, is what i added. i actually made a little edit in PS of Gojo with vampire fangs! At around 0 : 04, it zooms into his mouth where i added fangs, and I also added dark circles under his eyes and streaks along his eyes in that same edit, but unfortunately that is completely invisible here. As i edited, i realized that I wanted to play around with the liquify tool, and so i did! Being spontaneous helped with keeping together my motivation to edit this, but I did get tired towards the end of making it.
I edited the first Gojo scene partially in Vegas, as well as the clip at 0 : 08 bc I feel able to get the most precision out of s_blurmocurves there instead of AE. Then I plopped these clips back into AE and continued ^^ And then when it was done in AE, i plopped it into Vegas, added flickers, overlays, and rsmb, as well as other little thingies :3
I loved experimenting with the text! It was a lot of fun doing the ''masquerade'' and ''bloodlines'' text! I really like that kind of squished text :o In general experimenting with colors, effects, and text here was so fun, and I'm very happy with this result :3 I was very determined when editing this, tho i hyperfixated for quite a while and nearly forgot to do some things, but i was able to remember about them and do them eventually owo''
Ah i realized that i forgot to add flickers near the end. oh well!
The render time in AE was also very fast - only 12 minutes and 53 seconds :o And so was the render time in vegas - a little bit over 4 minutes ^^
So yus, that's the main of what i wanted to say, and i hope y'all enjoy this and have a very great day/night! :o

Yaaallll! Im baaaacckk!! Goodness gracious, its been too long ;w;
And! Im returning with a longer edit this time, which is not only a remake of one of my older edits - Sonic - Miserable - but also a gift for my amazing girlfriend, @EnchantedNebula, on our anniversary! ^w^ And thiiiss particular remake was made because this was one of the first videos of mine that Enchi saw and through which she found me, and she had suggested remaking this about 2 years back, and now this project has finally seen the light of day, after being worked on for quite some time x3

About the video itself:
BOOIIIII while this was 2 years in the making, frankly, the actual time it took to edit this was much less - it did still end up being some weeks straight of editing :o
i didnt wanna reuse every clip, bc imo some clip choices of mine just dont make sense in the original - so i experimented with a new clip flow; re-set some clips in 2022, then uuuhh- didnt edit this for 2 years after that i think ;w; legit, i think i came back to this project in around march-april of this year and finished setting the clips, and then decided that i want this to be my gift to Enchi this year for our anniversary c: however, i was still struggling with the next thing after clips - the style, the look, the feel - everything else. had no clue what i wanted this to look like for the longest time ;w; eventually, it struck me that i could try to show the irony in the lyrics by making my effect choices ironic - mixing together unreadable text, randomly flying 3D/2D shapes and text, moving lines. It was pretty chaotic. As i got to editing, i quickly realized that my idea was a bit Too chaotic to remake and Still be Visually understandable. So i decided to minimize the amount of stuff i wanted, and went with mostly readable fonts, overlaying text with different sizes, colors and blend modes (that was so fun btw uwu) and some light 3D elements. I made nearly every spinny shape at 0:06 manually in Vegas, and lemme tell ya, it was CLUNKY, so i stopped trying that after that attempt and just made overlays in AE instead ;w;
Used a lot of the lighten blend mode here, which i dont use often! Cool transparency effects with that one c:
And by the time this was done and i was watching back the comparison, i thought my remake was lookin like one of those company de-brandings where they lost their personality and identity lool XD
The only not-so good part about editing this was that i was quite hung up on making it perfect in my own eyes, which tired me out so much. Eventually, i beat out perfectionism and i still feel happy with this video - it makes me even happier that Enchi likes it c:
Some fun facts about the original edit!
I actually tried to match the clips with the lyrics somewhat, or how i understood them! Used dramatic clips and tried to capture the irony in the lyrics too.
I originally edited the video, and lots of my other old uploads, in 4:3! But back then, i didnt think 4:3 videos wouldve gained much attention, so i re-rendered my videos and stretched them to 16:9 exclusively for Youtube back then, and then also added my watermark to them. I also had no clue what disable resample was, hence why theres ghosting on my older uploads ^^ But i think 4:3 videos get more appreciation nowadays c: So now yall get to see the video in its original quality and resolution!

So this edit is finished!! Took me a while to get to writing this up bc Ive been really busy, and unfortunately, I have quite the workload.
But Ill try to type something up for this, despite that~
So then, I basically nearly finished this in the same 24 hours in which I started/uploaded the wip?? I reeeally got into this project and really got into editing it!
Ill start by briefly talking about my song and character choice here. So I found this song a few months back and I basically instantly looked it up on spotify lol And I increasingly thought like I wanted to edit with the song, but I just didnt know what character to use! I wasnt vibing with anyone. But the other day, along with slowly getting back into YGO after remembering about thiefshipping due to one other song, it hit me - I could edit with MARIK! And then I was really excited and began putting this together, and slowly that lead to me uploading that wip ksadhdakj
I think this song is in Swahili, also?
Well, yes, I had lots of fun putting this together and trying to form a flow with the transitions. I wanted them to be bouncy! And as I was making this, I got the sudden idea of including art from the manga and so!! I took out one of my Yugioh manga volumes and scanned it for this edit!!~
In general I believe this edit is my first *finished* edit in which Ive edited with Marik, as well as edited with my own manga scans ^^ I do really like how crisp the quality of the scans is!
It was also loads of fun to edit with Marik too! I dont uuusually edit with him, so it was neat to find clips that focused on him~ But I had a hard time remembering episode counts at points (pretty much all episodes besides episode 97 ^^), so I needed to reeeally look through my episode screenshot collection.
I sort of got tired towards the end of the first loop and started mostly copying and pasting event attributes, but I did have an idea of changing up the loop, and changing the colors of it and whatnot ^^ I nearly rendered out the loop and was planning on adding that as the second loop (cant imagine that that would be too great on the quality), but then I got myself together and copied/pasted the adjustment layer keyframes and triiied to align them well enough, as well as copied and pasted/made a duplicate of all of the clips and moved them over, and as a result, I er??? Somehow the second loop feels more on-beat that the first?? XD
Oooh and I also wanted to ditch the white watermark on black background thing for this video, and instead add that scene at the start with the audio of what he says, and to make the outro more interesting I decided to add a manga scan ^^
Some of the twixtor, as I expected, became a bit unnoticeable bc of the effects, but what can ya do ^^

I had some difficulties with making this video. The first big one felt like even c h o o s i n g a song, oml XD
I just couldnt think of what song to use, but I knew I wanted to edit a cute video, with this style of text, specifically, but this was the only song that came to my mind but I was unsure about using it bc the song as a whole (like all of the lyrics) dont exactly fit u s, but neither my best friend, nor Kate (I _vaguely_ asked her for song recommendations XD) could suggest a song for me to use, so I was like ???? alright, time to stick with this! XD
From that point I didnt come back to the video for a loooong time. I ended up setting the audio on one day, then I finished the video in two days, but the gap between those points was pretty big. Aaaalmost a month.
Anyways, I was kinda low on ideas here, as you mightve read, and Im not particularly happy with how this turned out, mostly bc I feel like its too bright - I dont understand why it looks more bright than how I remember it looking when I first rendered it, but, eh, I obviously cant fix this now.
I was also confused about what to do with the ending asdfghjkl XD
But nonetheless, I did a thing XD
Also I mean the RENDERING process couldve been a little faster, ye? XDD I mean yo, first time around, when I rendered this as a thing I would edit further, it took around 3 hours and 50 minutes to render, but the next time - pretty much an hour more, so XD
