Wooo! Glad I could finish this one!
I started this on the 23rd, the same day I had watched an edit by MentalFate and I, instantly, as I was watching the edit, also felt like this song fits these two. More precisely, it feels like Killua @ Gon, especially during the Chimera Ant arc.
Therefore, I felt inspired to make my own edit with the two.
I felt like so many of the parts of this song could fit them, so I cut the audio with the main parts that I had ideas for, and, my gosh, is this longer than what I usually make-
Well, as a result, I decided to make this edit veeerry simple! Just to ensure that I would even Finish it at some point. And decided to not worry myself about the effects at all until I am done setting all of the clips. And I feel like these clips look exactly the way I had hoped them to look and fit into the song, I had so many vivid visions of clips as I was listening to this song, and it was very satisfying to see them basically being converted from my thoughts, into a digital result! In general this result is p much exactly what I had in mind in the first place, which makes me very happy ^^
As per my idea I also wanted the video's perspective to be from Killua's perspective. And I wanted to incorporate lots of zooms that ''blend'' in together with completely different clips. I'll come back to that in a bit.
And in general, I wanted the clips and the emotions the video gives off to the focal point of the edit - not the effects.
If I'm being honest, I wasn't feeling the best when I started this project. I wasn't feeling well, emotionally. I barely felt anything. In other cases some of the clips I used here would cause me emotional and slight physical pain bc of how much of an emotional tie I have with these characters, but that evening I just set a lot of clips without feeling anything bc I was vibing too hard with the song. I'm feeling better now tho! ^^
Well, when I was done with the clips - I had already set a few transitions/effects bc I got such sudden ideas that I wanted to use them asap - I got to the main effects and whatnot. As I edited I got another idea bc I knew I wanted the ''blood'' text to be red - I decided to leave the red color for every clip that has or implies blood.
I had a biiit of trouble with the blending zooms at points. I thought some looked good, others - not so much. Well, literally by the end of making this, I finally found a good method to make the zooms just look Nice! Since I was using fades between most clips I had thought of a method of just not extending every keyframe right to the beginning or to the end, so clips don't move too fast for each other ^^ I then went back and applied this method to most of the zooms.
I also watched The Last Mission partially bc I wanted to, and partially bc I knew it had some scenes I'd like to use in this.
I decided to do something a liiiittle different and include the song title, and basically the thumbnail of the video, at the end, instead of an outro ^^ I suppose I felt a little inspired to do that by KaibaShadow, as she added something similar in her most recent edit, and I wanted to try out smth like that too~ :3

So this edit is finished!! Took me a while to get to writing this up bc Ive been really busy, and unfortunately, I have quite the workload.
But Ill try to type something up for this, despite that~
So then, I basically nearly finished this in the same 24 hours in which I started/uploaded the wip?? I reeeally got into this project and really got into editing it!
Ill start by briefly talking about my song and character choice here. So I found this song a few months back and I basically instantly looked it up on spotify lol And I increasingly thought like I wanted to edit with the song, but I just didnt know what character to use! I wasnt vibing with anyone. But the other day, along with slowly getting back into YGO after remembering about thiefshipping due to one other song, it hit me - I could edit with MARIK! And then I was really excited and began putting this together, and slowly that lead to me uploading that wip ksadhdakj
I think this song is in Swahili, also?
Well, yes, I had lots of fun putting this together and trying to form a flow with the transitions. I wanted them to be bouncy! And as I was making this, I got the sudden idea of including art from the manga and so!! I took out one of my Yugioh manga volumes and scanned it for this edit!!~
In general I believe this edit is my first *finished* edit in which Ive edited with Marik, as well as edited with my own manga scans ^^ I do really like how crisp the quality of the scans is!
It was also loads of fun to edit with Marik too! I dont uuusually edit with him, so it was neat to find clips that focused on him~ But I had a hard time remembering episode counts at points (pretty much all episodes besides episode 97 ^^), so I needed to reeeally look through my episode screenshot collection.
I sort of got tired towards the end of the first loop and started mostly copying and pasting event attributes, but I did have an idea of changing up the loop, and changing the colors of it and whatnot ^^ I nearly rendered out the loop and was planning on adding that as the second loop (cant imagine that that would be too great on the quality), but then I got myself together and copied/pasted the adjustment layer keyframes and triiied to align them well enough, as well as copied and pasted/made a duplicate of all of the clips and moved them over, and as a result, I er??? Somehow the second loop feels more on-beat that the first?? XD
Oooh and I also wanted to ditch the white watermark on black background thing for this video, and instead add that scene at the start with the audio of what he says, and to make the outro more interesting I decided to add a manga scan ^^
Some of the twixtor, as I expected, became a bit unnoticeable bc of the effects, but what can ya do ^^

I had some difficulties with making this video. The first big one felt like even c h o o s i n g a song, oml XD
I just couldnt think of what song to use, but I knew I wanted to edit a cute video, with this style of text, specifically, but this was the only song that came to my mind but I was unsure about using it bc the song as a whole (like all of the lyrics) dont exactly fit u s, but neither my best friend, nor Kate (I _vaguely_ asked her for song recommendations XD) could suggest a song for me to use, so I was like ???? alright, time to stick with this! XD
From that point I didnt come back to the video for a loooong time. I ended up setting the audio on one day, then I finished the video in two days, but the gap between those points was pretty big. Aaaalmost a month.
Anyways, I was kinda low on ideas here, as you mightve read, and Im not particularly happy with how this turned out, mostly bc I feel like its too bright - I dont understand why it looks more bright than how I remember it looking when I first rendered it, but, eh, I obviously cant fix this now.
I was also confused about what to do with the ending asdfghjkl XD
But nonetheless, I did a thing XD
Also I mean the RENDERING process couldve been a little faster, ye? XDD I mean yo, first time around, when I rendered this as a thing I would edit further, it took around 3 hours and 50 minutes to render, but the next time - pretty much an hour more, so XD

So first off, I wanna say that this is not a shipping edit. I just wanted to make a video simply including these two, bc I think theyre both cute XD But if you wanna imagine this as a shipping edit - sure, you do you XD
Ive had an idea like this for a while now, but Ive just not been sure what song to use - until a couple days ago. This song was stuck in my head, and after a bit, I was struck with editing ideas. I quickly decided to make a video about these two characters. My first intentions were to animate pictures, but **nervous laugh** that would not have worked out, at least not this quickly XD Simply bc - low motivation XD
I was squeaking when adding the clips - I was trying to go for every clip to be cute, and judging by how I was already happy with the video without any effects, I think I did well with that idea ^^
I put the clips together in Vegas, and then did everything else in AE :3
Again, it was a lot of fun - as per usual when I edit in AE.
I went for a similar style that I went with for my first Aki edit, bc if not the picture animating, I thought that this fit ^^
Im just a bit worried about whether or not the coloring is too bright XD
I also wasnt expecting the video to end where it did, when I copied and pasted it, so it loops, but here we are XD
I was worried about what the result will look like, bc in the output screen in Media Encoder, the video looked very strange and different from how its supposed to look, but thankfully, the end result looked nothing like that ^^
Another very nice thing is that this took around 4 minutes to render :3
