Hi hi everybody! It's been quite a long time since i last posted on here.
Apologies, but i've realized that i simply won't be able to post extremely often for the time being. Things are quite busy for me and it comes down to whether or not i have the time or motivation to make/post something. I will be posting when i want to.
I have one more edit in my drafts that i could make public quite soon too, maybe even later today.
Anywho! I want to wish you all a (late) happy new year!
I hope this year will be able to bring some peace and clarity to us. Perhaps things might start to slowly improve this year.
Personally i have some ideas i'd like to work on later this year, quite excited about those ^^ Some of them will likely be coming in summer, when i have more time ;3
At the moment i'm just trying to get through things.
My idea for this edit started i think a day after, or the same day i first found this song. I quickly started to like it! So another Cryoshell song that was an immediate ''yES'' to me :D
My first thought was that this song could fit Xiao! The lyrics remind me a lot of him. But then i figured, what exactly could the ''we're closer to the truth'' lyric mean for Xiao? And then i thought... Albedo! That could fit Albedo. And since i love both of these two, i wanted to make an edit including both of them :3
I wanted to try something a liiiittle bit different with this edit. I wanted to focus on the clip selection and the lyrics, and the flow between these things ^^ I tried to make the clips fit the lyrics more as opposed to just thinking of the flow between clips.
This edit has a mini-story to it, which i shall add at the bottom of this description!
I chose to make the effects quite simple.
Ooooh but but! I did try some new things too, such aaaas, making an animation in Blender for this edit! :D I attempted to make a brain- XD a rotating brain owo Had some trouble with the brush settings so i couldn't get any rougher lines on it, but for a first attempt it could be okay!
I used AE for some text effects.
I've actually had an effect idea like 0:09 (the twixtored zoom in on Xiao) for quite some time now, but now i finally found a project that i wanna use it in!
I'm very happy that I got Xiao too~
Currently i'm taking a break from Genshin, and i'll briefly come back to get some more primos and maybe, possibly get Kazuha, and then i'll definitely just, take a break. I'm already starting to move onto other things i wanna do ^^ Genshin is fun, but i'm quite tired of it now ^^''
Welp, i don't wanna tire myself out with writing, so that will be all ^^

Xiao and Albedo are struggling due to loneliness and not being able to find the truth (of the world), respectively, and they continue to search for what they yearn for in their respective regions - their homes. Whether their searches will bring them doom or clarity is unknown, but despite it all, they choose to stand tall against the moonlight, and brave the blizzard's frost.

So first off, I wanna say that this is not a shipping edit. I just wanted to make a video simply including these two, bc I think theyre both cute XD But if you wanna imagine this as a shipping edit - sure, you do you XD
Ive had an idea like this for a while now, but Ive just not been sure what song to use - until a couple days ago. This song was stuck in my head, and after a bit, I was struck with editing ideas. I quickly decided to make a video about these two characters. My first intentions were to animate pictures, but **nervous laugh** that would not have worked out, at least not this quickly XD Simply bc - low motivation XD
I was squeaking when adding the clips - I was trying to go for every clip to be cute, and judging by how I was already happy with the video without any effects, I think I did well with that idea ^^
I put the clips together in Vegas, and then did everything else in AE :3
Again, it was a lot of fun - as per usual when I edit in AE.
I went for a similar style that I went with for my first Aki edit, bc if not the picture animating, I thought that this fit ^^
Im just a bit worried about whether or not the coloring is too bright XD
I also wasnt expecting the video to end where it did, when I copied and pasted it, so it loops, but here we are XD
I was worried about what the result will look like, bc in the output screen in Media Encoder, the video looked very strange and different from how its supposed to look, but thankfully, the end result looked nothing like that ^^
Another very nice thing is that this took around 4 minutes to render :3

About the video!:

I only started this yesterday XD
But heck, am I happy with the result! OWO Believe it or not, I got this done in only 3 hours!
The reason that I hadnt started making smth earlier was because of school, coming home late and whatnot, and simply not having as much inspiration to edit.
However, I recently got sick. So Ive been home for a little while now, and tbh? I feel like...this is life essentially giving me the chance to edit when I felt like I couldnt. I had to take this chance.
My first idea for a birthday edit for Sapphy was a Sonic edit with a WAR*HALL. It involved a style similar to, say, my Judai and Aki - VERY Nice edit, but, I scrapped this idea yesterday due to feeling like it wouldnt be good enough, or would be boring.
As I was making that edit, I was listening to this song here, and it was then, that it hit me, that I could try to make an edit with Batman media. Ive never edited with this media before, and perhaps, thats exactly the fact that helped me edit - the fact that this is something new.
The clips were all downloaded from YT, as I couldnt seem to find another download for the cutscenes, and I wanted to make this download process quick. Thankfully, it was, thanks to my internet being fast.
Then, when it came to editing, I was a little scared that I wouldnt like the result, but that thought quickly changed.
The coloring you see here, I made yesterday, while simply experimenting. It wasnt even made for this video - I had tested this thing out on FFXV clips. Its also heavily inspired by a coloring in one of seravhes edits!
Speaking of being inspired - the typography here is also heavily inspired by another one of seravhes edits.
This was also the first time I had tried out the Universe plugin in an actual edit. I seriously like this plugin! I mean, a VHS effect and a glitch effect without having to do extra work? Im sold XD
Anyways, editing this was super quick, as I had a lot of inspo. It was also very fun! Im surprised I could put this much effort into a project made this late, and this quickly.
Honestly, Im very happy with this whole result ^^
Im aaaalso super happy about the fact that this only took 5 minutes and 45 seconds to render! Even less than my previous edit took.

So a while back I saw a buuuuncch of edits on insta (and yt!!) of Gojo in this episode of jjk, and, honestly these edits were in the back of my brain throughout most of the next day then XD I downloaded this ep specifically to edit these scenes too bc they are so COOL, and id already made a quick edit of him previously, but for this one!! i felt more inspired and I wanted to give it another shot :3
So I suppose this is my addition to those edits ^^
I instantly vibed with this song after hearing it in one of the edits I watched, and I really wanted to use it too x3
My very first idea with this was to make something of an infinite looping comfort edit for myself! Wasnt sure if I would post it, but Im feeling happy enough with it to do so :3 This video also loops as a whole, video and audio-wise X3 The colors dont really match by the time it loops, but oh well!
I threw this together during some of my free time and it was really fun to make x3 It was a smooth process in general, and I really got into the flow of it ^^
I wanted to add this many loops to hopefully maintain my level of effort throughout the video, and that worked! And to make the loops a bit more interesting I changed smth up in each of them, mostly colors, and some other little things.
I nearly felt too lazy to do the slides near the end of the loop, but i managed to do them!
Woohoo I used different fonts this time around :o
Also a part of making this was me going ooooh right i had this idea!! and oooh what if i do this??? *does it* OOOOH! XD
...ah I forgot to do most flashes and blurs owo oh well owo
I guess I also kind of intentionally made this more like the edits that you see on insta, bc why not ^^
To make a note, no, i did not make this at 5 in the morning owo
This only took about 28 minutes to render which is great, considering that, most of my render times now are at least 40 minutes for effect heavy videos ^^ Then again, most of this is a pre-rendered loop, but yea ^^
I feel like these edits made me like Gojo even more and now im in a bit of a troublesome situation where I still dont entirely want to continue watching jjk, but at the same time i do bc of Gojo, i- XD

Eeeeee Im very happy with the result of this edit, actually! ^w^
So, I started making this 3 days ago, after finally getting home after nearly an entire edit idea in my head. Earlier that day, I saw this fantastic MEP with this song and it had a whole lot of Final Fantasy clips in it, especially ones from FFVII Advent Children. Aaand it all seriously inspired me! My reason for choosing this combo of characters is because in that MEP, parts with these characters came one after another and these two parts were the ones that inspired me the most :3
I took some inspiration from like 2 text effects used in one of the parts and I decided to play around with something similar, but create it to my liking, and see if I can find anything that I would like to continue using onwards :3
I also took some inspo for the some of the clip selections and placements x3 (Also the little closing black bar near the end ^^)
I was already happy with the look of this after adding clips and a coloring, and when I got to editing, I had loads of fun trying out these little things that Ive never tried before - like adding a soft fade to the lines that I usually do, using the screen blend mode more often for text, and I also found a new preset transition that I came to like :3 Its sorta like the flash and blur transition that I usually do without presets ^^ Its called uni.Exposure blur! :3 I also thought of some new ways to do typography :3
Given that the typography is very active, I kiiind of wanted to make the background more calm, but I couldnt really help myself, and ended up making the clips match the intensity as well! Although, I intentionally made the clips and effects more calm and less active towards the very end, so it wouldnt be a constant strain of a lot of things to pay attention to, throughout the whole video ^^
Okie, now I would like to talk about my ideas!
I would like to say that there was an effect similar to the one I did here with the first its three, three get ready lyric in the MEP I watched, for that same lyric, so thats the one I took inspo from for the first pieces of text aside from the first its two, cause two is for the show. The other text ideas came to me after looping this part of the song many times and thinking. Im especially surprised at the outcome of the lyrics that I added during Renos part!
I used After Effects to make that part, and, man that was some trial and error XD Buuuut! I was able to do it completely like I imagined it in my head!!!
This brings me to my next thing! This edit turned out to look PRECISELY the way I thought it would look in my head, if not better! owo
I literally felt like I broke my own patience while making this. I generally dont have the patience to completely perfect my work or to put too much effort into it.
I did notice some little things I wouldve liked to improve on after it first rendered. (which it did in 33 minutes and 33 seconds, might I add lol) After seeing these things, I decided, since Im already quite dedicated to this edit, I might as well first every little thing I dont like about the render, mainly the outro screen. And so I did, and then it finished rendering after 31 minutes and 44 seconds ^^
However, even if I went a bit out of my comfort zone with this project, Im kinda glad I did.
Aaaaa and I think thats all I have to say for now!
