This is "Desert Fox" for the Amstrad CPC, released back in 1986 by "US Gold".
It's a strategy game about WWII and concentrates on the North Africa campaign where general Erwin Rommel (aka "Desert Fox") had the upper hand for some time.
Except from the strategy part, which in my opinion is boring and not very well made, there is also the arcade part of the game which includes five mini games.
You can practice these mini games by selecting them from the main screen.
In Stuka Attack and Tank Duel you are trying to repel the attacking stukas and tanks respectively.
In Mine Field you must drive safely your tank out of the mine field. To do this you have to be careful not to step over the mines with the tank tracks and keep the compass heading North. Your cannon can be very handy by shooting the mines.
In Ambush Attack your tank is in the middle of a canyon taking fire from gun emplacements on the walls. You can use your machine gun to destroy them.
In Convoy Attack your task is to protect the convoy vehicles passing in front of you at the bottom of the screen, by shooting down the red fighter planes that try to bomb the convoy. Your weapon is the twin machine guns. The targeting is done automatically and you must be careful because sometimes targets lock on friendly planes. If you shoot down a friendly plane 100 points are extracted from your score.
The first 7 minutes of this video include the mini games played for practice and at the last 3 minutes you can see how the strategy part is. You can also watch me beating Rommel's tank on a duel.
