Year of release: 2006
Publisher: -
Developer: Nicholas Campbell (CPC conversion), Jonathan Cauldwell (original ZX Spectrum version)

This is the story of Fizzog the alien whose spaceship was wrecked on our planet.
Fizzog needs replacement parts for his spaceship that can only be found in the infamous Area 51.
It will not be an easy task as the parts are scattered in 7 areas full of deadly obstacles and enemies.
Will you help him?
Of course you will help him. That's our job and duty as gamers after all!!!

Area 51 was originally released by Jonathan Cauldwell for the ZX Spectrum as an entry in 2004 4K Minigame Competition.
Two years later (in 2006) Nicholas Campbell converts the game for the Amstrad CPC.
The game belongs the genre that Manic Miner defined.
You must collect objects that are placed all over the screen using only your hand and eye coordination and some pixel-perfect jumps.
As the game was an entry for a 4K minigame competition, there are only 7 screens and after these the game loops back to the first screen.
Overall, Area 51 is a nice little game which you can easily complete after a few tries.
