The Illinois Central originally had 40 EMD SD70s, but after a tragic wreck, only 36 are still on the roster. Of these, 20 are sitting in the deadline. That's over HALF of the remaining fleet. Built in two orders, 1995 and 1999, who knows what'll happen next with this power. Lets explore the history of these locomotives, see some cool throwbacks to them in action, and explore what could be next!
