The Rapid City, Pierre & Eastern Railroad exclusively rosters EMDs, and makes a trip from Mankato, MN to Aurora, SD three times a week as the MMNAU. We'll chase a snoot nosed SD40-2, and former SD40 west, with a massive 9000 foot train!

Starting off in Mankato, MN we'll see RCP&E 3436 and MNA 2762 leading a MASSIVE 145+ car train, and it was over 9000 feet in lenght. It was so large it had to make five moves before departing. Upon departure, it'll pull past the depot in downtown Mankato, and see it throttling up at Land of Memories Park. After this, witness it roaring through Judson, and again in run eight in New Ulm. The train is seen one final time in Sleepy Eye as it lugs its heavy, and long train west towards Aurora. The two SDs were really working, and had their work cut out for them! This was a fun chase, in perfect evening light.
