It toughs to think that the iconic SD40-2 is over 50 years old! Once the king of the rails, this classic locomotive could be seen on any type of mainline train. Now, they are hard to find leading on the main, with class 1s slowly purging them from the roster. An ever dwindling number though, are still alive, and hard at work, for the big class ones to this day.
We'll take a look at the SD40-2 on the Canadian Pacific, Union Pacific, and BNSF Railway. Watch as these engines scream past in run 8, fight through the snow, and even lead transfer with loads of stacks! Lots of aerials views, and even some neat night shots are mixed in. After all these years, its really neat to see the might EMD SD40-2 still rolling down the mainline!
