While we are used to seeing trains made of freight cars, or passenger cars, rarely do we see a train made up of locomotives! In this huge power move, 29 locomotives are seen heading west for the coming grain rush.
All of these locomotives are active; they are being moved from Barstow, IL to Minot, ND for the upcoming grain rush. The entire train is made up of GE locomotives; lead and trailed by ES44s, the rest of the train is made up of C44-9Ws. We'll see locomotives in H1, H2, H4, and even some 'Fakebonnets' in Santa Fe colors. Pretty wild and cool to see something like this!
