My wife and I are driving our RV to every Dallas Cowboys game this year.
I wore Cowboy boots to the week 6 NFL game at Bank of America stadium. Maybe this is why I was feeling confident enough to predict a 40 point Cowboys victory over the hosting Carolina Panthers.
Spoiler alert: The Cowboys lost, and the Panthers won. Honestly, the better team won today. The Panthers were the better team.
The Dallas defense is so bad, our offense has to be perfect in order to stay in games. I think we have to consider firing Eberflus (our defensive coordinator). Credit to the Panthers for taking advantage of our terrible zone scheme.
Rico Dowdle beat the crap out of us. Bryce Young looked good, and only took 1 sack. It seemed like 90% of Panther offensive plays were positive... we offered little to no resistance. Probably my memory is exaggerating a bit, but the essence is still true: Our defense is unacceptably bad.
Yes, with the game on the line, our offense ran 3 consecutive screen plays, went backwards, and punted. Not good. But, I still think this loss is on our defense's shoulders.
We are simply horrible on defense and there are no minor adjustments that are going to fix it. I vote to fire Eberflus.
ANYWAY GO COWBOYS, I BET NEXT WEEK VS THE COMMANDERS WE WIN BY 40. NO I AM NOT KIDDING COWBOYS FOR LIFE
