My wife, 1 year old daughter and I are driving our RV to every Dallas Cowboys game this year. We started planning our epic 15,000+ mile superfan road trip months ago. (Naturally, when we traded Micah away 7 days before the first game in Philly, we were pretty devastated, but our condition has improved since then.)
We feel we got pretty lucky with the schedule. The 2-game road trips were not too long (Jersey to Charlotte, and then Washington D.C to Jersey). Our only trip out west is to Vegas, and that's after the bye anyway. Our Thursday night games didn't leave us with any long drives on short weeks. It felt like a doable goal.
One thing stood out to us, right from the first time we saw the official NFL schedule:
Cowboys at Broncos, October 19th. The mountains, the leaves changing color in autumn, our first time to Mile High, and the bonus fact that both teams are scheming for a divison win/ playoff berth right now. This could be a highlight of our trip.
With that in mind, our travel day / A to B video is a bit shorter than usual this week. On Sunday we will post our gameday video like we always do (GO COWBOYS!) and then sometime next week we will upload a full Colorda road trip video. We're gonna cross as many off our list as possible... including but not limited to: Rocky Mountain National Park, Red Rock Amphitheatre, Garden of the Gods, Royal Gorge and more.
Watching my Cowboys play, in stadium, week after week, is a dream trip for me. Driving through the mountains, with my family in the back of the RV only makes it even better.
LIFE IS GOOD.
