In this video, I’m taking the Cybertruck out for some much-needed maintenance after our Thanksgiving road trip to Las Vegas. I finally hit the 5,000-mile mark, so it’s time for a tire rotation! I’m heading to America’s Tire, where I’ve taken all my EVs in the past because they offer free tire rotations regardless of where you bought your tires. It’s a great way to save a few bucks, especially since Tesla recommends rotations every 6,250 miles to avoid the uneven wear that’s so common with these heavy EVs.
While charging, I ran into a fellow Cybertruck owner, Jeff, who gave me a tour of his incredible off-grid build. His truck features a custom EcoFlow solar setup on the roof that pulls in about 300 watts on a good day, plus a unique interior mod where he removed the rear glass to allow HVAC to flow into the bed for camping. It’s one of the cleanest and most functional setups I’ve seen yet!
After getting the Cybertruck sorted—and learning that this location now offers Tesla alignments for around $200—I headed over to Javier’s shop at Rialto Tire Center. I had to pick up my original Model Y OEM wheels and tires since we recently swapped them for a new 20-inch setup. I’m also sharing my storage solution for these extra wheels, including some UV-protected covers I found on Amazon to keep them safe from the Southern California sun while our backyard construction is finished.
