In this video, we’re throwing it back to July 2024 for a trip to Chicago! While Abby was busy at a conference, I set out on a solo mission to the Rivian Chicago Space on Rush Street. This was a huge moment because it was my very first time seeing the Gen 2 Rivian R1S in person!
It’s funny looking back at this footage because at the time, I was still driving my beloved Gen 1 R1T and we still had the Model X Plaid. You'll hear me in the video wondering if Abby would ever trade her Tesla for a Rivian—and we all know how that story ended up months later! I take a dive into the Gen 2's new features, from the revamped light bar that shows charging progress to the refined interior and those clever new frunk dividers that had me feeling a little "frunk-envious."
I also share the experience of my very first Uber Share ride in a Polestar 2, a quick tour of Millennium Park, and my quest to find some Gear Guard Gary merch.
