I recently moved to Reno NV where the railfan opportunities are fewer than those in my previous home in the San Francisco Bay Area. This is especially true given the real winter weather here. As a consequence, I’ve been going back through my 35mm film archive to find content to share.
This video is a slide show of the first day and a half of my 2002 trip to Chama NM for a railfan trip on the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad. It starts with my Friday afternoon arrival where I got to prowl the railyard in Chama and ends with trackside images shot along the route on our way to Antonito CO.
