I made a mini hammock for my elf on the shelf. In this quick and easy crochet tutorial, I show you step by step how to make a small hammock, attach the handles for hanging, and how to tie tassel knots around the corners.

Crochet MINI HAMMOCK Pattern
Crochet Hooks: F/5/3.75MM & N/15/10MM
Yarn: 4, Medium
Using 10MM crochet hook, attach yarn to crochet hook using a slip knot.
Row 1: CH 22, turn.
Row 2: Skip st 1 & 2, in BLO 3rd st, place 1 DC. Place 1 DC each st in the row (20 total). CH 2, turn.
Row 3: Place 1 DC in each st in the row. CH 2, turn.
Rows 4 - 16: Repeat Row 3.
At end of the last row, insert smaller crochet hook in the loop, then CH 80.
Join the CH rope by placing 1 SL st in the 1st CH st of this portion of the pattern.
Place 1 SC in between each of the DC st from Row 16.
Cut and tie off yarn.
Other side:
With F/5/3.75MM crochet hook, CH 80, then SL st in 1st CH st to join.
Working in each FLO left over from Row 1, place 1 SC.
Cut and tie off yarn.
Attach long tassel knots to the corners of the hammock.
