How to CROCHET an APRON for the ELF ON THE SHELF. This quick and easy crochet pattern tutorial is ideal for your elf on the shelf and pairs perfectly with my crochet Elf on the Shelf Oven Mittenss Tutorial! This crochet tutorial should be beginner friendly and ideal for anyone new to crochet!

CROCHET Elf on the Shelf APRON PATTERN:

Materials:
Crochet Hook: F/5/3.75
Yarn: 3 Lightweight, KC Brand Yarn
Optional: 2 wooden beads

Attach yarn to the crochet hook using a Slip Knot.
Row 1: CH 9, turn.
Row 2: Skip 1st CH st, in the BLO of 2nd CH st, place 1 SC, then 1 SC in the BLO of each st in the row (8 total SC st). CH 1, turn.
Row 3: Skip turning CH st, then place 1 SC in each st in the row (8 total SC st). CH 1, turn.
Rows 4 - 23: Repeat Row 3.
Row 24: Skip turning CH st, then SC 2 together in each st in the row. CH 1, turn.
Row 25: Working down the side of the apron and edges of the previous rows, place 1 SC until you make it halfway down the apron. Fold the bottom of the apron in half up to current st. Place 1 joining SC through both sides of the fold to join, then CH 30. Turn down CH st, and place 1 SL st in the BLO of each CH until you make it to the base of the apron. Continue to place joining SC st down the side of the apron. At the bottom, work SC st across the available loops along the bottom edge, then place joining SC st up the side of the apron, securing the other edge of your pocket. Before your last joining SC st, CH 30, then turn work. Place 1 SL st in the BLO of each of the CH stitches until you make it to the base of the apron. Place the final joining SC st, then work SC stitches up the side of the apron until you make it to the top.
Row 26: Skip turning CH st, then SC 2 together in st 1 & 2. CH 18, then SC 2 together in st 3 & 4. Place 1 SL st in 1st st down the side of the apron, then cut and tie off yarn. Hiding your tails on the back of the apron. See video for attaching the beads - before tying off your yarn.
