How to crochet a headband? In this crochet tutorial, I show you how to make a quick and easy crochet headband using the NEW chevron stitch. This crochet headband can be completed in less than an hour and pairs perfectly with my crochet chevron brim beanie! This set only uses two skeins of yarn and is great for giving as a gift set!

Crochet Chevron Headband Pattern:
Crochet Hook: K/6.5MM
Yarn: Buttercream Luxe Roving Wool, Size 5 Bulky
Attach yarn to crochet hook using a slip knot.
Row 1: CH 7, turn.
Row 2: Place 1 SC in each of the BACK BUMPS in the row (7 total SC st). CH 1, turn.
Row 3: Place 1 SC in each st in the row.
Row 4: Place 1 SC in st 1, then place 1 TR in the BLO of the 4th CH st from Row 1. Then working in the top portion of the row, skip the next st you haven’t already worked, then place 1 SC in st 3, 1 SC in the BLO of st 4, and 1 SC in st 5. Place 1 TR back in the same BLO where you placed the 1st TR of this row. Place 1 SC in the last st of the row, CH 1, turn.
Row 5: Place 1 SC in each st in the row.
Row 6: Place 1 SC in st 1, then place 1 TR in the FLO from Row 4. Then working in the top portion of the row, skip the next st you haven’t already worked, then place 1 SC in st 3, 1 SC in the BLO of st 4, and 1 SC in st 5. Place 1 TR back in the same FLO where you placed the 1st TR of this row. Place 1 SC in the last st of the row, CH 1, turn.
Row 7: Place 1 SC in each st in the row.
Rows 8 - 57: Repeat Rows 6 & 7, placing the TR in the FLO created by working the BLO in the center st on the previous “V” rows. You should have 27 Chevron stitches.
Row 58: Working along the top edge of the brim, place criss-crossing stitches working in the sections with 2 available loops. (To place a criss-cross st, skip the next workable set of loops and place 1 DC in the next set of loops, then working backwards, place 1 DC in the skipped set of loops).
Fold pretty sides facing in and join the two edges of the brim with SL stitches.
CH 2, place criss crossing stitches around the row, SL st in 1st DC st to join.
Cut and tie off yarn.
Turn right-side out.
