In my crochet tutorial today I’ll be showing you how to make this crochet golden retriever applique.

For this pattern you will need any thickness crochet cotton or yarn, I used Scheepjes Catona cotton colours (179) Topaz, (130) Old Lace, (383) Ginger Gold and (110) Black. A crochet hook, I used a 2.5mm hook. A darning needle to weave in ends and a pair of scissors. Thread and needle to stitch the Golden Retriever together. Pink and black cotton to embroider on the tongue and eyes.
The finished size will be 13.5cm wide x 14.5cm high (5.25” wide x 5.75” high)
for the larger golden retriever, using 8 ply crochet cotton. The size of the golden retriever in Catona will be 11.5cm wide x 12cm high (4.5” wide x 4.75” high). The medium golden retriever will be 9.5cm wide x 9.5cm high (3.75” wide x 3.75” high) when using 4 ply crochet cotton. The small golden retriever will be 7cm wide x 7cm high (2.75” wide x 2.75” high) when using 2 ply crochet cotton.
