Complete List AMA FRIA RC Fields

In this video I will go over an easy way to locate any RC (radio control) field that has a FRIA, or FAA Recognized Identification Area status. In short, a complete list of AMA FRIA RC fields.

Remote Identification, or remote ID, became an FAA regulation on Sept 16, 2023. Due to the lack of availability of remote ID broadcast modules, the enforcement date of remote ID is slipped until March 16, 2024.

The remote ID ruling does have one important exception for RC pilots. If your Academy of Model Aeronautics RC field has applied for and received FRIA (FAA Recognized Identification Area) status, recreational RC pilots do not need any remote ID equipment to fly at their airfield.

The AMA has a very easy to use section on their website to locate these FRIA fields. In addition, the FAA will eventually list all FRIA fields on their UAS Data Delivery Service interactive map.
