This was a fun build at Call of the Wild Zoo! Over three days, we redeveloped the interior of the colobus monkey enclosure, going from a blank canvas to a filled space filled with lots of opportunities for feeding, climbing, resting and bouncing.
And although the three of us came away knackered, we are also proud of what we managed to achieve in such a short time. All four platforms are custom made, along with an extra bouncy platform that uses hidden bungee to create a trampoline that the colobus will no doubt enjoy. The space has lots of different feeders, including two hanging feeders that the keepers kindly let us take after a team build at Yorkshire Wildlife Park, along with a large rope and dynamic branching system that span the length and width of the enclosure.
Join us for a look at the build, as well as a look at the tools we use to lift the platforms in place, and a sneak peak of the finished space.
