We've now created several variations of the anteater tongue feeders during our team builds, each with tweaks and variations based on feedback from the keepers and our own observations. The idea of this latest version is to allow the anteater to use the full length of their tongue but also enable the device to be easily cleaned and the quick input of food into the device.

Each tongue channel is built to the size of a film canister (do you remember them?!) It's this canister that has the food put inside, and they can easily be taken away, cleaned and refilled. The back of the device slides open, with both sides being clear for easy viewing.

During the build the team were split into several groups, each building a feeder. They also had some creative freedom on the length and positioning of the tongue tubes. A massive well done to the group on completing these awesome feeders!
