In this video, Cisco Heatt: All American Police Car Race, released in 1991 for the Atari ST by Image Works.
A police squad car racing has been organized, we decided to partecipate with our police car and race against computer-controlled police vehicles. Obviously the goal is to finish each race in first place. In order to achieve our goal we can take different routes and blast the horn to shift other cars out of the way.
Placed between Out Run and Chase HQ, Cisco Heat was developed by Jaleco and has been a major hit. The ST port was made by ICE Software with competence and skill: the graphics are faithful to the original arcade with nice sprites, good scrolling and speed sensation. The audio is good and sports digitized tunes and soundfx. The playability is ok. All in all a good conversion.
