What's up Geekly Goods fam! 🤯 Christopher Abbott has officially been cast as Professor X in Marvel's X-Men reboot, confirmed tonight during the massive cast reveal at D23.
Tom Pelphrey had also auditioned for this exact role, but as previously reported, he didn't end up getting it, and now Christopher Abbott is confirmed as our new Charles Xavier. I'll be honest, I'm not entirely blown away by this specific casting choice, but I'm genuinely excited to see how it all plays out once we get more footage and see him in action.
Abbott joins an incredibly stacked new lineup that includes Sadie Sink as Jean Grey, Kit Connor as Cyclops, Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, Adam Driver as Mister Sinister, Inde Navarrette as Rogue, and Maya Boyd as Storm. X-Men is officially arriving in theaters May 5th, 2028.
