Speaking with Good Morning America at D23 alongside Chris Evans, Downey said, "I'll say this, getting to know you better, all of our history, because you're a legit dude, and you don't say yes just 'cause you can. It has to feel right. And I think that in Doomsday, what happens with this key relationship is so exciting and unexpected and beautiful." Evans followed up by simply calling his return "Incredible," adding it feels like they never really left.
