What's up Geekly Goods fam! 😳 According to a new report from The Ankler, Waller and Paradise Lost are officially no longer in development at HBO, and it sounds like there's genuine trouble brewing on the DC TV side right now.
The same report also reveals that pitches for both Poison Ivy and Catwoman series were recently brought to DC and HBO, but both were passed on entirely. Waller was originally set to continue Viola Davis's storyline following the events of Peacemaker Season 2, while Paradise Lost was pitched as a Game of Thrones-style political drama centered on Themyscira. Both were part of the original wave of projects James Gunn and Peter Safran announced when they took over DC Studios.
The good news is Booster Gold reportedly remains in active development, with a search for a new writer currently underway, even after facing its own cancellation rumors. With Lanterns premiering this Sunday and Mister Miracle also still on the horizon, it sounds like DC still has real plans for television. That said, given how many of these earlier-announced projects have quietly stalled or died, it does raise the question of whether Mister Miracle or Booster Gold could eventually face the same fate.
