Once Nightcrawler also falls under Apocalypse's control, he single-handedly solos the entire X-Men squad in one of the most intense fight sequences the show has delivered yet. Watching a possessed Nightcrawler go toe to toe with his own teammates and come out on top was genuinely such a fire moment, and it's a testament to how far this show has come with its animation and fight choreography. Gambit's resurrection storyline has been building all season, and this episode really cranked up the stakes heading into the finale.
