Trekking our way back to the Gradius franchise, heres a gag-infested, tongue-in-cheek parody that most Japs & Euros alike would definitely be familiar with! (Why this game and/or its sequels never saw the light of day in the US years ago is anybodys guess....) Immature complaint aside, this segment covers Areas 1 & 2.

Rounding out the long-standing Shmup Triad is one beyond human comprehension - the 2 main characters you play as are actually named and modeled after 2 sci-fi/action legends (GET IT?)...and youll never guess what theyre tasked with - thats right, fending off swarms of extraterrestrial and bionic enemies/artillery alike, led by the notorious (NO MUSICAL PUN INTENDED) Vile Malmort! This segment: Stages 1-3.
