Ok, I am following the viral TikTok pickle experiment. So there has been a question going around asking if is it possible to make pickles simply by sticking a raw cucumber into pickle juice. Today I not only want to answer this but let’s see how the results compare against some homemade pickles.

0.5 oz [15 grams] of salt

Bunch of dill
4 cloves of garlic

Sourdough bread is in fashion these days, and I have jumped onto the bandwagon and started a sourdough starter. One use outside of bread is to make delicious waffles using sourdough. Honestly, these waffles were some of the best waffles I have ever eaten, the complicated texture along with the slight tang from the sourdough and buttermilk made such a unique and amazing waffle.

220 grams of mature sourdough starter
1 cup of buttermilk
1 cup of all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon of granulated sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup of melted butter
2 grams salt
4 grams baking soda
splash of vanilla extract (optional)
