The Ring of Hircine can be obtained from a prisoner in Falkreath Jail in Skyrim. The cursed ring cannot be unequipped, and causes the wearer to randomly become a Werewolf!

This curse can easily be lifted by completing the quest "Ill Met by Moonlight", but what happens if you play through the game without lifting the curse?

You can unequip the ring after transforming into a werewolf, but it remains a quest item and can not be dropped.
