There is a wealth of evidence supporting the association between regular exercise and decreased cancer risk, but how and why? And can exercise really prevent tumour growth? Well, in this video I take a look at a recent publication showing cytotoxic t cells (CD8+ T-cells) may be mediating the observed exercise-induced tumour reduction. This can be understood by appreciating the hallmarks of cancer that includes evasion of immune destruction.
