These Korean Fried Chicken Wings will make you happy! These are medium spicy and flavored with gochujang, butter and honey. Everyone will love them!
Ingredients:
Sauce:
1/4 cup to 5 Tablespoons chopped garlic
14 Tablespoons butter
6 Tablespoons brown sugar
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 teaspoon fish sauce
6 Tablespoons Gochujang
3 Tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon red chili flakes
6 Tablespoons water
1 to 2 Tablespoons lime juice

Saute the garlic slowly over low heat for up to 10 minutes till slightly golden.
Add rest of ingredients (except lime juice) and simmer to a somewhat thick glaze... about 20 minutes over low heat.
Set aside while you fry your wings.

This makes enough sauce for 4 pounds of wings. You can also use this sauce to dip regular fried chicken into.

I used 3/4 cup plain flour and 3/4 cup cornstarch mixed with 1 teaspoon baking powder all mixed up to coat the wings with the flour.

Fry in vegetable or peanut oil at 375F for 10 to 13 minutes. It depends on the size of the wings. These wings were smaller that I usually get at the grocery store. I was sad that these were the restaurant sized ones as I like to get larger ones.
When your wings are done frying, immediately put them into your sauce and roll them around in the sauce to cover them well.
They are ready to eat!

Once all the wing portions float they should be done 3 minutes after they all float. You can also measure their temperature with a thermometer and see if they are at least 165F just to be sure!
If you have any doubts, please fry them for the full 13 minutes.
