Michael's Home Cooking | Crock Pot Italian Beef Sandwiches with Michael's Home Cooking @MichaelsHomeCooking | Uploaded 6 years ago | Updated 1 day ago
These Italian Beef Sandwiches are easy and delicious! See description under video for full recipe.
Ingredients:
2 and 1/2 pound chuck roast
8 ounces of sliced Peperoncini peppers
1/4 cup of juice from the Peperoncini jar
8 ounce can of the mild green chilies
2 small onions sliced
1 yellow bell pepper sliced
1 and 1/2 teaspoons table salt
1 Tablespoon Italian Seasoning
1 teaspoon black pepper
2 teaspoons garlic powder
15 ounces of crushed tomatoes or tomato sauce
Other ingredients:
provolone cheese
bread can be burger buns, hoagie rolls or baguette
Layer your ingredients into your Slow Cooker and cook on HIGH for 6 hours. Then shred beef and mix together. The liquids in the crock pot will absorb into the shredded beef. When I took the beef out, I did sort of drain it somewhat so that the sandwiches would not be real soggy.
The bread that I used was from Walmart.
It is labeled.... White Sub Bun
It was a package of 6 and sort of looked half-baked to me, so I warmed them in the oven for 10 minutes before I made the sandwiches.
I like to take the sandwiches and roll up in aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes @ 350F
Thank you for watching!
