Cold Peated Whiskey is Brother Justus’s distinctive take on peated American single malt, bottled at 43% ABV (86 proof). Instead of burning peat, the distillery uses its proprietary cold-extraction process to capture peat-derived botanical and earthy compounds without heavy smoke. The whiskey is aged in new Minnesota oak barrels, integrating subtle peat character with notes of earthy, herbal minerality, burnt sugars, subtle fruits, roasted coffee beans and a gentle sweetness. The result is restrained and nuanced rather than aggressively smoky. Retail pricing typically sits around $99.99 for a 750 ml bottle.
