Bow drill home practice, willow on willow, this time trying a U-shaped notch cut with a multi-tool saw. Willow is unknown species; there are many species around here. Not sure if I like the U notch yet. Fast and easy to cut, but I think it was maybe cut too deep into the hole. A shallow U can be quick cut, followed by making the final V shape on the inside with a knife. V notch might stay hotter at the apex of the notch and make a coal quicker?
