Friction Fire Tuesday (FFT) a few days late, ha ha. Weekly friction fire making practice.
Inspired by TheENIGMA301, I figured I'd try using a plastic shopping bag as a bowstring.
I used a Bay spindle on a Longleaf Yellow Pine fireboard. The fireboard was warped so I used another piece of wood to help stabilise it. I tore off a small piece of plastic and stuffed it in the bearing-block to use as a lubricant. Worked pretty well.
