Friction Fire Tuesday (FFT) weekly practice (a thread on bushcraftusa web forum).

Fireboard & spindle are Water Oak. Bow is Yellow Pine. Bowstring is used Jute twine (Egyptian method). Bearing-block is Evergreen Oak (with a sliver of bar soap as a lubricant).

Tinder bundle is bashed-up pine needles (pulverized with a rock) and Pine wood scrapings.
