After a couple months off due to the coronavirus craziness, we are back with a new episode dedicated to New York City. We all could use a lift now, so try out this boozy take on a New York egg cream from Erik Adkins at San Francisco's Hard Water.
BOURBON LIFT - Created by Erik Adkins
1 1/2oz bourbon
1/2oz orgeat
1/2oz heavy whipping cream
1/2oz coffee liqueur
Top with sparkling water
Add all ingredients except sparkling water to shaker tin. Shake vigorously with ice. Strain into a highball glass and add approximately 2 ounces of sparkling water. Let sit for 20-30 seconds while creamy head develops. Top with an additional ounce or so of sparkling water to lift the foam up and over the edge of the glass. Enjoy!
