There are a LOT of Negroni riffs out there. Many of them are quite delicious. Which is why I was so surprised to find a new favorite Negroni riff. (Sorry, Kingston Negroni!)
I first came across this concept in a Punch Magazine article that I'm going to link to below. There are a few other recipes included in that article that I want to try someday, but right now all I have been able to drink is my take on the OG Negroni Sour.
Negroni Sour (TTMG Version)
1 oz gin
1 oz blanc vermouth
1/2 oz Campari
1/2 oz Contratto Bitter
1/2 oz lemon juice
1/2 oz simple syrup
Dry shake all ingredients plus an egg white without ice in your cocktail shaker. Add ice and shake again. Strain into a cocktail coupe. Spritz oils from orange peel over the drink and discard the peel. Enjoy!
