Naming your cocktail the "Pit Viper" sends a message that it's a pretty badass drink. At least it does to me anyway. So when I discovered that Erick Castro had done just that, well I knew I had to try it.

PIT VIPER
2 oz Rye Whiskey
3/4 oz lime juice
3/4 oz grapefruit juice
1/2 oz amaro (I used Averna)
1/2 oz maple syrup
