In this video I head out to capture bluebells as the sun rises - witnessing this spectacle is something I highly recommend, and achieving something early on is a great way to start the day, putting you in a great mood which simply breeds more positivity.

There is something so incredibly beautiful about bluebells in the early morning. The bright green foliage of the surrounding beech trees illuminated by the sun enhances and highlights the scene, creating such a wonderful sight that can put you in a great mood for the rest of the day.

Getting up early and starting the day with something positive can be a great lift and put you in a great mood for the entire day. Having achieved something so early on means that whatever else happens you have done something, and achievement or progress towards a goal are great factors in staying motivated and satisfied.

Mental wellbeing is something that is important to me, and I make sure that I get to enjoy these moments as often as I can, and plan my photoshoots so that I do not spend the time rushing about hunting for a composition at the time when everything is happening. Sitting behind your camera waiting to release the shutter whilst watching the morning unfold is a calm and relaxing experience and that for me is the way photography should be.

Photography has helped me so much in managing my own mental health. It’s stress relieving, relaxing and meditative. If you are looking for a way of developing your photography in this way I am working on workshops and online courses to help you practice this approach and you can register your interest here.
