Making that video made me realise how I live by a certain set of principles that often encourages me to choose to do something instead of opting out.
For example, I mention here that you can easily talk yourself out of going out with your camera, or not to enter a competition like Landscape Photographer of the Year, but if you decide not to do these things you are only guaranteeing that you will come away with nothing. Choosing to do something rather than not do it gives you a chance at the very least, and that's sometimes enough.
