The sacrament of baptism has been one of the most misunderstood and abused sacraments throughout church history. Roman Catholics forced people into baptism at the point of the sword, Calvinists murdered the Anabaptists for rejecting infant baptism and being baptized again as adults.
By contrast, some teach that when anyone is baptized they automatically receive the Holy Spirit, while in the persecuted church such as in China, people are refused baptism unless they are willing to be imprisoned or die for their faith. In this video I discuss the sacrament of baptism in light of history and what Scripture has to say about what is required for salvation.
