No one ever spoke like Jesus. He often used cryptic parables which opened the eyes of the humble and sincere, whilst at the same time, blinded the eyes of the self-righteous and proud.
Jesus was God the Son, the Creator of all that exists, who set aside His divine authority and submitted to the Godhead as a vulnerable human being. He came to reveal God to us, to rescue us from the curse of death, and take our sins upon Himself.
In this first parable Jesus introduces the new covenant.
