Marathon's world has seen the development of Undead Cyborg Super Soldiers called Battleroids. First emerging in the asteroid battlefields of Icarus and Thermopylae, the battleroid was a defining super weapon at the disposal of Humanity from then on. Potentially based on Jjaro technology, the Battleroids forces smuggled aboard the Marathon were more than a match for the attacking Pfhor invaders that attacked Tau Ceti.
