Destiny 2's Lore and Story shows us just how dark its world can get, with the final exotic missions collectively known as Oblation. This revolves around Dredgen's Bael's search for Cull's Shadow, an exotic weapon of immense power. This search expands into his aim to create an entire arsenal of weapons of sorrow to arm his Dredgens with. These were all to be created in The Forge of Sorrow, a vast facility deep within the moon, operated by The Hive. At the heart of the forge lies one of the darkest secrets in the history of the franchise, an engine of pain built on death unending.
