Formed as a threesome in London in 1979, the group were one of the most successful girl groups of the 80s. Right off the bat, they found success not only in the UK but in the US, the Netherlands and Australia as well.
“Cruel Summer” in 1984 gave them a Top-10 hit in both the UK and US. It was also featured in the 1984 film, “The Karate Kid” and was a track on the group’s self-titled album from the same year. The album reached #16 in the UK and #30 in the US.
Pete Jolley and Tony Fain also produced Imagination and Spandau Ballet in the early 80s.
