In this AU Ronno didn't bully Bambi from the beginning, they became friends. Faline exists in this AU too, but she and her mom moved to another part of the forest for the winter, so Bambi and Ronno don't visit Faline too often.
They have each other's company, spend a lot of time together, become close.
The new spring is coming, Friend Owl and the Groundhog tell young animals about the spring tradition, finding a mate during the spring season to create a family.
Since Bambi is the future ruler Friend Owl pays much attention to him, to the mate Bambi is going to choose.
Ronno is secretly in love with Bambi and dreams to be his chosen one. Friend Owl speaks about a doe, a queen, Ronno suggests there could be two kings and suddenly he sees Bambi sad and overwhelmed.
Ronno says Bambi doesn't have to choose anyone, he can rule alone too, but Bambi wants a soulmate, someone to understand him, and Ronno dreams to be the one, to run away with Bambi.
When spring comes, Bambi chooses Ronno, their love is blossoming just like the trees and even though they have their duties as future rulers, they still can have adventures and be free together
